As the first step in the renovation project of the Zandvliet Bridge in the port of Antwerp, the first hydraulic jack was dismantled from the bridge basement last week.
To avoid damage to the auger and surrounding techniques, this required very precise manipulation. The auger is almost 11 metres long and weighs as much as 27 TON.
Here, the De Meyer project team ensured perfect preparation and execution.
Through well-coordinated cooperation with experts from partners Mammoet and Victrol, this spectacular manoeuvre was executed perfectly.
