An interesting report on strengthening the bridges between education and business!
The Province of East Flanders recently launched a campaign to strengthen the ties between education and business.
The focus here is on the promotion of technical and vocational education. Companies like ours can play an important role in motivating and inspiring young people to consciously choose a 'vocational training'. In this way, we can hopefully expect more inflow of new technical workers.
De Meyer is already making great efforts to 'keep the relationship with technical education warm'. For example, we regularly organize company visits, we actively support schools with their innovation projects and we give young guests the opportunity to do internships.To emphasize this campaign, a short film was recorded that will be broadcast starting today on the regional channel TV Oost.
Since they were looking for a lifelike business setting for this report, we were asked if the film crew could come here to shoot... A question we obviously could not say no to.
The result is quite something... our company is beautifully portrayed!
