De Meyer designs, builds and installs new 'distributors' at heart of waste treatment plant
Svex Indaver's waste treatment plant in Kallo is an immense and complex facility.
For the optimal supply of waste to the various fluidized bed incinerators, complex distributors sit at the heart of the plant.
However, these distributors are subject to great forces and wear. So after a while, they noticed at Svex Indaver that they were no longer doing their job very well.
That's why they knocked on De Meyer's door four years ago, asking it to completely re-engineer, build and install one of the three. With a special focus on optimization, so that wear and occurring forces would be minimized.
With success! Because after intensive use, the De Meyer solution turns out to provide much better efficiency. Perhaps more details of how much better?
So this year we were commissioned to also replace the two remaining distributors in the same way....
The installation is a feat... at the heart of the plant, we dismantled the existing piece and replaced it with a new unit. A real open-heart operation!
Chapeau to our people who, together with our colleagues from Aertssen, brought this job to a successful conclusion.
And so our Masters in Mechanics are once again living up to their name!
